Desert Marigold Straight Texas Bourbon

An exceptionally rare expression of pure Texification

The final release in our 2026 Wildlife Collection, Desert Marigold celebrates the resilience of its namesake wildflower and the transformative power of the Texas Hill Country climate. Distilled and aged entirely at our Blanco, Texas distillery, this exceptionally rare straight bourbon whiskey showcases the character of our Texas pot-distilled bourbon, with just three carefully selected barrels yielding only 288 bottles.

Named for the golden wildflower that thrives in the rocky soil, extreme heat, and drought of western Texas, Desert Marigold is a true expression of our signature “Texification” process. Aged for 7 years and 8 months on the south side of Rickhouse No. 1, this bourbon endured nearly eight years of intense Texas heat and dramatic temperature swings, developing deep oak character, rich sweetness, and remarkable complexity.

Bottled at 124.2 proof (62.1% ABV), Wildlife Desert Marigold is an entirely Texas-born bourbon, offering a rare opportunity to experience the full influence of the Hill Country climate from distillation through maturation.

TASTING NOTES

COLOR Mahogany

NOSE Warm cinnamon rolls, butterscotch candy, maple syrup, spiced apple cider, and flaky pie crust. With time in the glass, additional oak, grain, and cocoa powder emerge.

PALATE Full and viscous, with rich maple and caramel flavors, crème brûlée, sweet almond, cocoa, and rye bread.

FINISH Medium-length with lingering caramel and maple confectionary notes, followed by cooling spearmint and wintergreen.
