Milam And Greene Liberty American Whiskey

A whiskey made to celebrate America’s spirit.

Our first Straight American Whiskey and one of its most ambitious blending projects to date, Liberty celebrates American whiskey-making through a distinctive blend of six carefully selected barrels and an innovative maturation journey.

Unlike bourbon, which must be aged in new charred oak containers, Liberty was matured in once-used Texas bourbon barrels. This unique approach allowed Milam & Greene's whiskey-making team to explore a different expression of American whiskey, one that balances youthful vibrancy with the nuanced influence of seasoned oak.

Liberty is a blend of three barrels of Milam & Greene's pot-distilled whiskey produced in Blanco, Texas, and three barrels of column-distilled whiskey from Bardstown, Kentucky. Each component was filled into once-used Texas bourbon casks and matured together to create a whiskey that showcases the best qualities of both distillation traditions.

LIBERTY TASTING NOTES

Color: Russet Muscat 

Nose: Warm sugar cookies and vanilla frosting giving way to cornbread, kettle corn, and chocolate malt 

Palate: Smooth and viscous, sweet marshmallow into malted grain, maple, and cinnamon candy 

Finish: Maple, almond, and allspice with soft mint, closing on a warmth that radiates
